WHAT IS VIRTUAL REALITY ?

PlayStation VR review: When good enough is great - The Verge

- Virtual Reality (VR) is the use of computer technology to    create a simulated environment and simulated experience that can be similar to or completely different from the real world.

- Instead of real world, users are  able to Interect with 3D   world  by simulating as many senses as  possible, such as vision, hearing, touch even smell also.

- With the advancement of the technology, VR places the user inside an experience.instead of viewing a screen in front of them ,users are immersedand able to interact with 3D worlds.

- You experience VR using a head mounted display.the headset covers your entire vision and therby immersing you totally in a computer generated 3D world.

- As you move your head it tracks your movements and updates the display – tracking your brain into thinking you are in a real place.

While Virtual Reality takes users into a digital world, 360 videos are live action, filming reality as it is seen at that moment. 360 videos are captured using special 360 degree cameras but can be viewed on any 360-compatible device, including various apps, smartphones, computers, and more.

- For example, in a remote virtual tour, you will feel like you are actually taking a tour in that place. However, in reality, you are sitting at your home and taking a virtual tour through your computer, while still getting to look around the place as if you are physically there.
